Why a tie feels like a win!

I thought the Dynamo did a phenomenal job today. Playing on artificial turf for the Houston Dynamo is never easy, but the Orange definitely came out on top. They did better with the ball's possession than they have done before at the Giants Stadium.

At the 48th minute Juan Pablo Angel opened the scoring by diving in a header past Onstad. Yet the Dynamo knew it wasn't over yet. Dom, the great coach that he is, subbed in Cameron, Holden, and Kamara. I have no idea how he does it, but those choices were brilliant. These great reserves brought fresh legs to the game.

And we tied it up by Ching bringing itto the 18 yard box, passed it to Barret, he kicked it to Holden, who assisted Kei's goal! I jumped up and down screaming like crazy, hugging my brother like there was no tomorrow! At the 85th minute, this team never fails to surprise me. The Dynamo give it their all the whole 90+.

Never say die!

As for other soccer news, I didn't get a chance to watch the Barcelona game. I did, however, get a chance to see the highlights, and boy was it WET!

There were literally pools of water all around the field, and the 6 yard box was embedded with mudd. Slip and sliding is what I mostly witnessed, but of course Barcelona came out 4-1.

Messi scored a powerful goal from about 12 yards past Malaga's reach. He is so awesome! I just watched an interview on Barca TV, he seems humble and shy, but you never know these soccer players have an overflowing amount of groupies.

Either way, Barca's players are amazing. Back to the Dynamo!

Playoff semifinal is 11/09/2008 at 2pm, and I hope we can lock this up and move on to the Western Conference Final. I'll make sure to bring plenty of ORANGE STREAMERS!

I love you Naranja!
